Barbara Hughes Earp is a Richmond metro area criminal defense and family lawyer who has been providing zealous representation throughout Central Virginia for almost 30 years. Barbara practices criminal defense, traffic defense, family law including but not limited to divorce, custody, visitation, child support, spousal support, pre-nuptial, post-nuptial agreements and adoption. Some other areas of expertise include protective orders, probation violations, expungements, and petitions for restoration of driving privileges and firearm rights.
Barbara graduated from The Collegiate Schools in 1996. She earned a Bachelor’s of Fine Art from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1991 and her Juris Doctorate in 1995 from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. In 1995 she was admitted to the Virginia State Bar followed by the United States 4th Circuit Court of Appeals in 1996.
Barbara is currently a member in good standing with the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Hanover County Bar Association, Henrico County Bar Association, Richmond Criminal Bar Association, Metro Women’s Bar Association and the Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity.
